Where Did the Year Go, A Reflection

I can't believe that 2005 has passed so quickly. It's been a strange year, being both extremely fast and extremely slow at the same time. I moved to another state, kept doing the same boring work, and managed to exist at a fairly slow pace. My best friend was diagnosed with cancer this year and she went through major complications from surgery and spent most of July in the hospital. That part of the year went fast.

I came to the conclusion that I am bored out of my mind in my current job and that I will need to move to another state in order to change that. I contemplated moving back to the state I grew up in. I even looked for jobs there (there are none, that's one of the reasons why I left seven years ago). I considered getting a dog and decided against since I wouldn't be able to take it with me when I do go home. I waver on this decision on a regular basis. I participated in The 3 Day 60 Mile walk and signed up to do it again in 2006. I started blogging and managed to blog a whopping 17 posts. I found lots of new blogs to read. I read plenty of books, probably close to 100. I watched my nieces for 2 days by myself and didn't go crazy. I spent a week in Myrtle Beach. I spent a day in NYC riding the red buses. I went to Long Island for the first time. I know I did more, I just don't care to write about it.
